Waterville Creates!, one of Maine’s leading arts and cultural organizations and a key driver in making the city a vibrant destination in Maine, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the highly-popular Aqua City Actors Theatre (ACAT) to bring a more diverse mix of theatre to downtown Waterville.

Waterville Creates! has
again been awarded grant money by the Harold Alfond Foundation (HAF) to continue its work
toward building a strong future for the arts in greater Waterville. Waterville Creates! is
scheduled to receive grant funding in the amount of $2.1 million over two years to advance the
organization’s mission and to provide significant funding to its partner institutions, including
the Maine Film Center and the Waterville Opera House.

Waterville Creates! has named Patricia King vice president of programs and operations of Waterville Creates! beginning February 6. Patricia is a founding board member of Waterville Creates! and its programmatic arm, Common Street Arts, as well as chair of the development committee. Most recently, she served as the Waterville Creates! interim executive director in 2016. In her new position, help guide and coordinate the efforts of Waterville Creates! as it builds a brighter Patricia will help guide and coordinate the efforts of Waterville Creates! as it builds a brighter future for the arts in greater Waterville.
