Main Street will be closed from Temple to Spring streets for a night of art, music, food, and fun to kick off the 50th Anniversary of the Common Ground Country Fair! Events are FREE unless otherwise noted. We will be giving away tickets for the evening performance of Unabashedly at the Waterville Opera House!
Stroll Main Street to enjoy music, art, and crafting vendors from the Common Ground Fair, carriage rides, chalk art, hands-on art activities, and more.

5–7pm Opening Reception for 50 years of Common Ground!
The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) is celebrating the 50th annual Common Ground Country Fair this year with a number of events, including a poster exhibition titled 50 Years of Common Ground, which will be exhibited at Waterville Creates’ Ticonic Gallery + Studios September 4–30. 7pm Unabashedly at Waterville Opera House
A world premiere as part of the American Association for Community Theatre’s NewPlayFest 2026! An ancient myth states that we are each connected to our One by a red thread, which stretches, bends and twists but never breaks, eventually drawing us together. Dave, a young editor at a major city newspaper, feels someone tugging at his thread. But Helen, a new beat reporter, is a non-believer. Will the thread hold, and even if it does, what if you don’t like this One once you’ve reeled them in?
