93 Main Street, Waterville, Maine 04901

Light Sentinels crafted by the Australian-based creative team, Skunk Control, comprises ten towering (16-20 feet) kinetic flower-based sculptures. These sculptures dynamically unfurl and close their petals, projecting vibrant and continually evolving colored light shadows over the surrounding landscape, captivating both viewers below and passersby above. Skunk Control is the 2024 award recipient for Waterville Creates’ Call for Proposals (CFP) Temporary Public Art.

Light Sentinels will be on view in Castonguay Square in downtown Waterville from June 7 – October 31, 2024.

Skunk Control will host a series of free outreach programs in June. Please see below for more information and links to pre-register.

Presented with major support from the Harold Alfond Foundation. Additional support provided by PRO Moving Service and the City of Waterville.
