October 16, 2021

1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Colby College Museum of Art

Colby College Museum of Art

Join this hands-on, in-person workshop inspired by the artist Mary Cassatt’s creative experimentation with the printmaking process. Participants will spend time looking at her prints in the exhibition, Inside Out: The Prints of Mary Cassatt, and then move to an Art Department studio space where Adriane Herman, Lunder Institute for American Art Residential Fellow, will lead the group in creating plates and printing their own drypoint works. Participants will create enough prints to exchange their creations with one another.

This two-hour workshop is designed for beginners, age 13+, and will have a limited capacity. Pre-registration for the workshop is available here. This is a free workshop, with all materials provided.

Please note: There will be a morning session and an afternoon session of this workshop. The content will be the same in both. We request that you register for and attend only one session.
