Braiding Circle

December 8, 2021

4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Lunder Institute of American Art

Greene Block + Studios, 18 Main St., Waterville, ME

Join Lunder Institute Residential Fellow Veronica A. Perez in a braiding circle to braid and share. Perez’s work focuses on identity, experience, and existence. This workshop will guide participants in braiding a three strand braid, while discussing lived experiences of identity.

Come braid and share experiences about identity, hair and race.

In addition to the workshop, participants are invited to have their personal stories recorded and encapsulated in an ongoing sculpture series by Veronica Perez.

The workshop is on the first floor of the Greene Block + Studios, 18 Main street in Waterville Maine, free and open to the public. Register now for the event.
