Lazy Susan Animation + Festival Fun
Spin into creativity with Lazy Susan animation! Inspired by the Maine International Film Festival (MIFF), we’ll explore simple spinning animation tools and create moving art. Special guests include OUT Maine and artist Veronica Perez, who will host a braiding circle celebrating connection and identity.

Our book this week is Mambo Mucho Mambo, a vibrant story about dance and rhythm across generations.

Coming soon: a link to the braiding circle tickets to reserve a spot!

Presented by Waterville Creates in collaboration with the Waterville Public Library and the Colby College Museum of Art.

Each Thursday afternoon, families and community members are invited to enjoy a story read aloud followed by a hands-on art activity inspired by the book or a creative community theme. This free program welcomes all ages and experience levels. In case of rain or extreme heat, we’ll move indoors to the Paul J. Schupf Art Center.

The Summer Reading theme is Level Up at Your Library. View all Art in the Park events here.
