Each Thursday, join us to spend time with a work of art on view in the Colby Museum’s gallery spaces. This week, Jillian Impastato, Mirken Coordinator of Campus and Community Collaboration, will facilitate a conversation focusing on Wall Drawing #559 by Sol LeWitt, located on the wall of the Alfond-Lunder Family Pavilion. We will meet in the museum lobby before proceeding outside (weather permitting) for the conversation.
Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking, an educational approach that asks people to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art as a way to make connections and create meaning for yourself. These looking experiences will be facilitated by museum staff, interns, docents, and special guests.
