Join the Colby Museum on the first and third Thursday of each month during the academic semesters to spend time with a work of art on view in the Colby College Museum of Art’s galleries. This week, exhibiting artists Sarah Sockbeson and J. Rae Pictou will facilitate a conversation in the exhibition Mawte: Bound Together.
Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking, an educational approach that asks people to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art as a way to make connections and create meaning for yourself. These looking experiences are facilitated by museum staff, interns, community collaborators, and special guests.
