Art Break: Burning House, Night, Vertical by Lois Dodd

Thursday, March 30, 2023

12–12:30pm

Colby College Museum of Art

Colby College Museum of Art, 5600 Mayflower Hill Dr, Waterville

Each Thursday, join us to spend thirty minutes with one work of art on view in the Colby Museum’s gallery spaces. This week, Tessa Greene O’Brien, a Maine-based artist, curator, and Lunder Institute of American Art residential fellow, will facilitate the conversation, focusing on Burning House, Night, Vertical by Lois Dodd, located in the Bernard and Barbro Osher Gallery.

Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking, an educational approach that asks people to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art as a way to make connections and create meaning for themselves. These looking experiences will be facilitated by museum staff, interns, docents, and special guests.
