Art Break at the Museum: Uprooted by Shahzia Sikander

Thursday, November 20, 12:30–1pm

Colby College Museum of Art

Join on the first and third Thursday of each month during the academic semesters for Art Break, a program that invites you to slow down and spend time with a single work of art from the Colby College Museum of Art’s galleries.

This week, Sae Gleba, Mirken Family Postbaccalaureate Fellow in Museum Practice, will guide a conversation focused on “Uprooted” by Shahzia Sikander.

Art Break sessions are rooted in the practice of slow looking—an educational approach that encourages patient, mindful engagement with art to foster deeper connection and personal meaning. Each session is facilitated by museum staff, interns, community collaborators, or special guests.
