Main Street will be closed from Temple to Spring streets for a night of art, music, food, and fun to kick off the 50th Anniversary of the Common Ground Country Fair! Events are FREE unless otherwise noted.
Stroll Main Street to enjoy music, art, and crafting vendors from the Common Ground Fair, carriage rides, chalk art, hands-on art activities, and more.

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) is celebrating the 50th annual Common Ground Country Fair this year with a number of events, including a poster exhibition titled 50 Years of Common Ground, which will be exhibited at Waterville Creates’ Ticonic Gallery + Studios September 4–30. What are First Fridays?
First Fridays celebrate the vibrant creativity in Waterville through a wide array of arts experiences. On the first Friday of every month, visit downtown Waterville to meet artists, see performances, listen to live music, eat delicious food, shop at local businesses, enjoy the arts, and come together as a community.
We honor and celebrate the array of identities in our local community and broader communities, including those that are not part of the predominant culture. We hold space on our stage, our screens, and our gallery walls, in our studios, and at our community events and programs to present diverse stories, identities, and lived experiences in real and authentic ways.
