Rhymetime: for Babies, Toddlers and Their Grownups!

Babies are born ready to learn! By singing, clapping, and sharing stories with their grownups, children from birth to age 3 gain valuable skills and knowledge for later learning success. Join us for a half-hour of active fun in the Children’s department on Friday,10:30-11am at the Waterville Public Library!

Homeschool Hub for December!

Homeschoolers are invited to meet at the Waterville Public Library every Thursday from 1:30-2:30pm for games, crafts, speakers, and more! There is an activity in the Children’s department for attendees in 1st-6th grade, and an activity in the Bartlett Room for Teens for attendees in 6th-12th grade. The activity changes every week.

Reader Dogs @ the Library

Come Read to the Reader Dogs!

Our therapy dog friends from Kennebec Valley Love on a Leash will be in this afternoon for read-aloud time! Great for kids who want to practice their reading skills and for families who want a fun, calming read-aloud opportunity. Spend 15 minutes with a dog who loves to listen! Bring your own favorite book, or borrow one from our shelves.

Join us in our holiday workshop (aka our classroom studio) at the Hathaway Creative Center and design your very own cookie cutter! We’ll also have cookies pre-baked for you to decorate for the holidays to take home with you. Think of the possibilities. At $10 per person, you can’t go wrong — this is going to be a fabulous family-friendly event and is sure to sell out!
