In this world, there are voices that we long to hear, echoing love and loss. These concepts intertwine with our history, forming braiding circles of memories. Through community workshops called braiding circles, artist Verónica Pérez uplifts the values of remembering, honoring, and preserving stories through sculptures made from hair and other materials.

These communities draw from every corner of their dreams, memories, and emotions to capture what could have been, what is, and what could be.

Thank you to our sponsors the Harold Alfond Foundation, Kennebec Savings Bank, the City of Waterville, Central Maine Newspapers, and Colby College.
