Walking away with this year’s Oscar for Best International Feature Film as well as the award for Best Sound, capping a string of awards and nominations (including Oscar nominations for Best Director, Screenplay, and Best Picture), The Zone of Interest is “a masterpiece of cinema”—Film Threat. Director Jonathan Glazer makes a film about the Holocaust unlike any other by following the family life of Rudolf Höss, the Nazi Comandante at Auschwitz, living next door to the concentration camp with his wife Hedwig and children. We can only imagine–and they, apparently, can only not, as they work on their own garden house and separate lives. Featuring Sandra Hüller, who was an Oscar nominee for Best Actress this year for Anatomy of a Fall.

In German, Polish and Yiddish with English subtitles.
