Souleymane, a migrant in France, cycles through Paris delivering food as he prepares for an asylum interview in two days—the biggest issue, however, is that he has no documentation to present to the immigration officer. With the clock ticking, he must gather enough evidence to secure his future in France. Reminiscent of the humanist films of the Dardennes, Boris Lojkine’s urgent propulsive feature is a deeply affecting account of the daily trials and uncertain futures faced by migrants in France and around the world.

“A biting critique of an unjust immigration system…a film whose depth of honesty keeps it feeling refreshingly human.”—Robert Daniels, RogerEbert.com

In French, Fulah, and Malinka with English subtitles.
