Jon “Carpenter" Slack has a passion for building and crafting with wood. He will share his passion for carpentry and industrial arts, how he got started, and about his favorite projects. Jon believes that working with your hands is a gift to yourself as well as to your customers. Students will tour the newly renovated Waterville Public Library and take part in an arts-based activity. Ages 13-18

Jon Slack is the owner of J.S. Industrial Arts, a commercial and residential construction company established in 2009. Jon has been instrumental in many exciting creative projects, including the recent renovations at the Waterville Public Library.


What is SLICE?
SLICE is a free program for teens and stands for Students Learning Innovative and Creative Endeavors. For this series of teen programs, we are partnering with arts professionals throughout the state, to provide young people with unique experiences to learn more about career paths in the creative arts. Each afternoon will be packed with programming, inspiration, and pizza!
