Printmakers
Lia Goncalves and Amy Gagnon are joining up with Waterville Creates again this year in celebration of Maine’s migratory river species. Lia and Amy continue to build their library of print blocks for the annual Benton Alewife Festival, and want your help.
Learn the basics of relief block carving, engage with local ecology, and bring home a print. Lia and Amy will provide educational materials and reference images of key species in the Sebasticook watershed for participants to carve.
All tools and materials provided. This workshop involves the use of sharp hand tools! Participants leave with a print, and blocks will be added to the festival library.
This year’s Benton Alewife Festival is on Saturday, May 16!
Age: Adults and teens 16+
Limit: 20 participants
