The powerful documentary chronicles Livi’s journey against Prof. Jane Monkton Smith's chilling and seminal timeline of the eight stages that precede intimate partner murder. Through Livi's conversations with those who knew her while she was trapped in the domestic abuse, the film illuminates the dangerous gray zone of psychological abuse, also known as coercive control, that often hides in plain sight.

Topics of the post-screening discussion will include psychological abuse, how to best help someone you worry is trapped in an unhealthy intimate partner relationship, and the role the community can play in safeguarding our neighbors from dangerous family members.
