Maine Voices Live Waterville features conversations between Morning Sentinel and Kennebec Journal writers and notable Mainers. Audience members can experience a memorable night with a Q&A at the end.

Award-winning reporter Amy Calder will sit down with Morning Sentinel reporter Kaitlyn Budion on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Waterville Public Library for a conversation about her new book, publishing later this month. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Amy Calder is an award-winning newspaper reporter and columnist for the Morning Sentinel, where she covers city government and everything from murders and car crashes to fires and drug busts. Calder also writes a weekly human interest column, “Reporting Aside.”

Her new book, “Comfort is an Old Barn” represents a partial collection of those columns, which include sketches of the colorful characters and quirky animals she has encountered, as well as personal stories about growing up in rural Skowhegan.

You can pre-order Amy’s book here.
