Acclaimed director Naoko Ogigami will lead a Q+A following the screening!

Kamome Diner revolves around Sachie, a Japanese woman who opens a Japanese-style cafe in Helsinki, Finland. Midori, a tourist with no definite plan, decides to work there with Sachie. Sachie’s cafe gradually gains popularity among local customers through her food such as Onigiri (rice balls) and cinnamon rolls.

This event invites Naoko Ogigami, one of the most renowned female directors in Japan, to discuss her film with Colby College Professor Rio Katayama. Naoko Ogigami is an award-winning director and scriptwriter, and her works have been recognized at various international film festivals such as Berlin International Film Festival.
