"It should give pleasure to stouthearted children, as well as to Ph.D.s in cinema studies" –TIME Magazine. Billy Peltzer receives a strange Christmas present from his dad...it's a living, breathing, squeaking, furry gremlin from a sketchy Chinatown store. The rules for this weird pet (keep away from light and water, and never feed it after midnight) are quickly broken, and result in its multiplication into dozens of gremlins who wreak havoc on Billy's idyllic hometown. It's Norman Rockwell meets E.T.
