Wednesday, July 15 + Thursday, July 16 at 9am–3pm

Maine Film Center and Ticonic Gallery + Studios

Ticonic Classroom, 93 Main Street, Waterville

Step into the charming world of clay animation! In this hands-on two-day workshop, we will explore the art of bringing stories to life through stop-motion filmmaking. You will learn the foundational principles of animation, including movement, timing, staging, and visual storytelling, while working with clay to create expressive animated scenes. Throughout the workshop, you will gain practical experience building armatures, constructing miniature sets, and capturing frame-by-frame animation to create dynamic animated performances.

Participants will work collaboratively in teams to produce their own original clay animation short film. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this class welcomes all backgrounds and experience levels—just bring your imagination!
