Can You Bring It: Bill T. Jones and D-Man in the Waters is a feature documentary that connects our world today to the fear, anger, grief, and hope of the AIDS pandemic that was at the heart of Bill T. Jones’ ballet, D-Man in the Waters, when it debuted in 1989. As we see a group of young dancers learn this work, new understandings of the power of art in a time of plague emerge from the experience. The film will be introduced by Kris Bergquist, Mirken Curator of Education and Engagement.
