Artful Meditation and Expression: Let’s Breathe Love

November 21, 2021

2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Colby College Museum of Art

Virtual; Event page or Facebook

Experience greater mind-body connection through our in-person Artful Meditation and Expression program. Participants will join art therapist Bodhi Simpson in a guided meditation session in the Colby Museum galleries, followed by an art making experience in our Mirken Education Center. This offering will support your personal comfort with creative expression, increase self-awareness, and offer simple tools to support emotional wellbeing.

In November, our theme of Let’s Breathe Love is inspired by Vale of Kashmir by Robert S. Duncanson. To ensure the health and safety of everyone, we require pre-registration for this free program. Please register here.

Artful Meditation and Expression is part of the Museum’s wellness initiative, Let Art Inspire, which includes a variety of programs that connect mind, body, and art in innovative ways.

Bodhi Simpson, LCPC, ATR, is an art therapist with a private practice in Waterville, Maine, called Conscious Art Therapy. She also is a teaching artist, an adjunct college instructor, and a workshop and retreat facilitator who incorporates creative expression and work with imagination, intuition, and metaphor into the healing process.
