In this first-ever Art + Conversation podcast, Dr. Ghada Gherwash, the founder of the Colby linguistic justice group, will lead a roundtable discussion on the topic of linguistic justice with some of the founding members of the group. Since language is a prominent theme within the current exhibition, Miracles on the Border: Retablos of Mexican Migrants to the United States, this roundtable will explore how we can encourage a more respectful attitude toward diverse linguistic practices and traditions.

Founding members of the linguistic justice group:

  • Ghada Gherwash, PhD., Interim Director of the Farnham Writers’ Center and Multilingual Writing Specialist,
  • Masi Ngidi-Brown, PhD., Director of International Student Programs and Associate Director of the Pugh Center,
