Art Break: Muhammad (Chicago) by Dawoud Bey

Thursday, February 2, 2023

12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Colby College Museum of Art

Colby College Museum of Art, 5600 Mayflower Hill Dr, Waterville

Each Thursday, join us to spend time with a work of art on view in the galleries at the Colby Museum. This week, Jacqueline Terrassa, Carolyn Muzzy Director at the Colby College Museum of Art, will facilitate the conversation, focusing on Muhammad (Chicago) by Dawoud Bey, located in the Upper Jetté Gallery.

Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking, an educational approach that asks people to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art as a way to make connections and create meaning for yourself. These looking experiences will be facilitated by museum staff, interns, docents, and special guests.
