There will be no theatre camp during Summer 2021.
Missoula Children’s Theatre camp will resume in February 2022! More information and registrations coming soon.
Waterville Opera House collaborates with Missoula Children’s Theatre, an internationally recognized touring group, to present weeklong theatre camps during February and summer vacations for students in grades 1–8. Theatre camp provides children with hands-on opportunities to learn about the theatrical process. Each week concludes with a fully realized performance, with scenery, costumes, and props.
Theatre Camp costs $220 per session, or $550 for all 3 summer sessions. A sibling discount is available.
The number of theatre camp spots are limited by age group and are first come first serve. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per session is required at time of registration.
Camp runs Monday through Saturday and children are required to attend all 6 days of camp. On weekdays, Drop Off is from 9:00am to 9:30am and Pick Up is from 3:45pm to 4:00pm. On Saturday, Drop Off is from 10:30am to 11:00am and the performance begins at 2:00pm.
The camp performance is open to the public and is on Saturday at 2:00pm. Each camper receives 1 complimentary ticket. Additional tickets may be purchased through the Box Office for $8 – $10.
There will be no school shows for the 2021-2022 academic year.
During the academic year, the Waterville Opera House offers a selection of performances designed to meet the curricular, financial, and scheduling needs of area classrooms and home-school groups. Spanning the topics of children’s literature, science, and history through plays and musical performances, these events are many students’ first opportunity to experience live performing arts. Each year, over 4,000 children participate in the Waterville Opera House School Shows program.
Through sponsor support, tickets for school shows are $3.00 each. Tickets are available to schools and to home-school groups. We require at least 1 chaperone for every 8 students. For every 5 paid student tickets, you may receive 1 complimentary chaperone ticket.
Tickets must be reserved in advance. Tickets are not available for purchase on the day of the performance. To reserve tickets, please download the reservation form and return it to our Box Office by mail or by fax to 207.861.7096. Reservation forms are mailed to area schools annually in May or June. Phone reservations are not accepted
Seating will be assigned by group size by the Box Office. If your students require special seating, please indicate this on the reservation form.
