Jeffrey Lipton

Jeffrey is a lifelong Mainer, potter, and educator who runs the Art of Clay Studio at Waterville Creates. He earned his BFA in Ceramics from the University of Southern Maine, then spent a year at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts making pots and playing badminton. After a recurring toe injury sidelined his badminton career, he relocated to Western Massachusetts, where he recovered and completed a three-year apprenticeship at Stonepool Pottery. Fully healed, and with a deeper knowledge and appreciation of working with clay, Jeffrey returned to the great state of Maine. He has a deep love for handmade objects, dogs, music, and plants.
