Youth Art Month (YAM) Opening Reception

Waterville Creates

Ticonic Gallery and Greene Block + Studios

March 3, 2023

Multiple Locations, Main St, Downtown Waterville

Join us in celebration of our Youth Art Month (YAM) exhibition on March 3 from 4 – 6pm. This year marks our 9th annual YAM exhibition and we’re thrilled to be able to expand this program by partnering with Colby’s Greene Block + Studios. Student work will be displayed at both Ticonic Gallery + Greene Block + Studio. This year’s theme is Your Art, Your Story.

In conjunction with March First Friday, create your own movable self-portrait puppet with stamps, collage and more! This project ties into Take the World in Your Arms, the Ashley Bryan/Paula Wilson exhibit at the Colby’s Joan Dignam Schmaltz Gallery, and Your Art Your Voice, the Youth Art Month exhibit at Ticonic Gallery + Studio.

About Youth Art Month: The Council for Art Education (CFAE) administers Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month encourages support for quality school art programs and promotes art material safety. The Council for Art Education (CFAE) administers the program at the national level.
