The Life of Chuck
At the beginning of the end of the world, the likeness of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz appears on television ads and billboards as he is thanked for thirty-nine great years. While people like English teacher Marty Anderson (Chiwetel Ejiofor) don't understand why Charles—also known as Chuck—is being thanked so profusely when everyone else has stopped broadcasting, a three-chapter exploration of Chuck's life leading up to the end of the world illuminates his peculiar importance.
