New England professor Agnes realizes her life has come to a complete standstill after a terrible thing happened to her. Frustratingly, everyone else seems to be doing just fine. Supported by her friend Lydie and her flirty neighbor Gavin, Agnes works to heal, reclaim herself, and experience all that life has to offer—the good, the bad, the funny, the horrible, and delicious sandwiches—as she reckons with her far-too-common tragedy and the world that kept moving without her.

The debut film from writer-director Eva Victor (who also stars as Agnes) and a major hit at this year's Sundance Film Festival, "the most remarkable aspect of Victor’s accomplishment with Sorry, Baby isn’t her wry sense of humor and deft observations about the inherent awkwardness of human social interactions (although it consistently pops). Instead, it’s how she emphasizes the seriousness of the events while staying true to Agnes’ unique personality."—Gregory Ellwood, The Playlist.
