Dog lives in Manhattan and he's tired of being alone. After seeing an advertisement on TV, Dog orders and builds a robot to be his companion. Their friendship blossoms over the course of the summer, and the two become inseparable to the rhythm of '80s NYC. One summer night, Dog, with great sadness, is forced to abandon Robot at the beach. Will they ever meet again?
