If you didn't have an opportunity to catch Oh, Hi! during MIFF, now's your chance! Seriously fun, and a well-updated take on the romantic comedy genre, Oh, Hi! is writer/director Sophie Brooks’ off-kilter take on millennial courtship. Molly Gordon's Iris and Logan Lerman's Isaac head upstate (yes, this is a New York rom com that does not take place in the city!) for a first weekend getaway together. Seemingly happily swimming in a pool of puppy love, they settle in for a warm romantic few days together, only to find that they may not both have the same idea of where this should all be heading. Is it funny? Yup! Is it painful? Well…maybe a bit for the couple, but not for the audience.
