Sofia (Emma Mackey) travels to the Spanish coast with her domineering mother Rose (Fiona Shaw), who seeks a cure for her strange and undiagnosable illness. When Sofia meets the free-spirited Ingrid (Vicky Krieps), she realizes that a fresh and tantalizing world awaits her—but only if she's able to escape her mother's increasing demands.
