A group of camp counselors trying to reopen a summer camp called Crystal Lake, which has a grim past, are stalked by a mysterious killer. The original Friday the 13th was not expected to do well at the box office, let alone spark a cult classic franchise. The promiscuous camp counselors are dismissive of the locals' warnings of the haunted camp, and one-by-one, are murdered in diabolical and gruesome ways. There's no better way to ward off your own Friday the 13th bad luck by paying your respects to this perfect example of cult cinema.
