There's no crying in baseball!

The classic sports comedy, featuring iconic performances from Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Tom Hanks, Madonna, and Rosie O’Donnell, returns to the Maine Film Center in conjunction with Sports Illustrators, an exhibition on view at Ticonic Gallery from April 16–June 16. As a professional all-female baseball league forms in the Midwest during World War II, sisters Dottie Hinson and Kit Keller compete against each other and spar with league scout Ernie and their has-been manager Jimmy Dugan.
