SLICE: 3D print design and fabrication

3D print design and fabrication | June 11 | @ common street arts
Students will learn how to locate existing 3d designs, discover the basics of 3d printers, and develop a working knowledge of tinkercad software.

SLICE (Students Learning Innovative Creative Endeavors) is a pilot program to encourage students ages 13 – 19 to explore the behind-the-scenes operations at an historic opera house, an award-winning public library, a nationally recognized art museum, and an independent arthouse at Railroad Square Cinema. Partnering with arts professionals throughout the city, this program will provide young adults with unique experiences to learn more about career paths in the creative arts. Each afternoon will be packed with interesting programming, inspiration, and pizza!

Big screen: Behind the Scenes | June 4 | @ Railroad Square Cinema
Students will be introduced to diverse career paths in the arts and mass media fields. They will have the chance to explore operations at an arthouse cinema.

Improv lessons | May 28 | @ Waterville Opera House
Through fun and imaginative exercises, students will learn the basics of improvised theatre: spontaneity, playfulness, creativity, listening, storytelling, and more!

SLICE: e-circuits at the library

E-circuits at the Library | May 21 | @ Waterville Public Library
Students will be learning basic circuitry skills and how to use felt, conductive thread, and LED to create bookmarks for night time reading!

Teen Game Night!

Stop by the Waterville Public Library on Mondays at 4pm for Teen Game Night!

Featuring video games, board games, and sometimes D&D, it’s always a new adventure!

The library has a collection of board games to choose from, which includes Settlers of Catan, Exploding Kittens, Munchkin, and many more! There are also games available to play on the library’s Wii U, Wii and PS3.  Attendees are welcome to bring along any age-appropriate games they’d like to share. Bring yourself, bring your friends, and discover new games!
