Many of us are lamenting the limitations of travel this summer. Thankfully, we live in a state of extreme beauty with many fascinating places to visit. Here at WC!, we realize that there are numerous destinations off the beaten path where we can explore Maine’s incredible art, artists, and natural landscape. The On the Road series is designed to explore areas that are art destinations in their own right and/or sites where we can create our own works of art.
In Part II of our adventures in Skowhegan bring us to River Roads gallery and the Langlais Art Trail!
Ray Corson – Woodworkers
Pamela Fortin of North Circle Studios – Prints!
Nancy Jervey – Potter
Langlais Art Trail
This trail is devoted to displaying and sharing the spirited art of Bernard Langlais (1921-1977) across his native state of Maine. The Langlais Art Trail can be enjoyed from Portland to Presque Isle and Skowhegan has several outdoor sculptures to enjoy. For more info on the trail: http://langlaisarttrail.org/
