Embrace the holiday spirit at our third annual Joy to the Ville community event!

Celebrate the magic of the holiday season in Waterville with Waterville Creates!, the Maine Film Center, and friends the Waterville Public Library, the Colby College Museum of Art, Snow Pond Center for the Arts, KVCAP Family Enrichment Council, and the Children’s Discovery Museum — as we join forces with downtown businesses to organize a day of free, family-friendly holiday programming throughout Waterville! This event is made possible by our local business sponsor, Bangor Savings Bank.

Joy to the Ville Schedule — ALL events are FREE

FREE cotton candy from 10am – 4pm at Railroad Square Cinema, Common Street Arts and the Colby College Alfond Commons Chace Forum on main street! (While supplies last)

10– 11am: Princess Story Time at Waterville Public Library

10am – 12pm: A Christmas Story at Railroad Square Cinema

10am-2pm: Make holiday cards for nursing home residents at the Waterville Public Library

10am – 4pm: Tinker and explore with the Children’s Discovery Museums pop-up exhibits at Alfond Commons Chace Forum

11am-3pm: Make a holiday ornament using 3d printed parts, ribbon, colored paper, and more! Get creative and see how a 3d printer works at Common Street Arts

11am – 5pm: Visit Santa at Kringleville in Castonguay Square

1 – 2pm: Satur-Play: Families In Theater Workshop led by members of the Recycled Shakespeare Company at the Waterville Public Library! Caregivers and kids will learn fun theater games to get them used to stage life!

1 – 2pm: Join Snow Pond Community Music School for a Melody Makers class using your physicality and instruments to make music at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum

1 – 3pm: Holiday Green Screen Winter Fun Photos at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum

1 – 3pm: Make a cool creative holiday frame for your festive photos with the Colby College Museum of Art at the Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum

1 – 4pm: Holiday Mind Jars with KVCAP Family Enrichment Council at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum. Similar to a snow globe, mind jars can be used for fun, but can also be used to help children focus, destress, or count down a time out.

2 – 3pm: Instrument Petting Zoo at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum with Snow Pond Center for the Arts! Try your hand at xylophone, violin, African drum, and lots more!
