#BernsteinAt100: Children and Art

February 15, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

- Free

Arguably America’s most iconic musical theater composer, Stephen Sondheim’s early career successes include his work as a lyricist for Leonard Benstein’s “West Side Story” and “Candide”. Colby College Chorale and the Colby-Kennebec Choral Society will present solo and ensemble numbers from Sondheim’s catalogue, including “Sweeney Todd”, “Sunday in the Park with George”, and “Anyone Can Whistle”, and explore the musical duo’s relationship through readings of letters written between them.
