8th Annual Benton Alewife Festival

The Benton Alewife Festival is an afternoon celebration with a number of family friendly activities that are all free. Events on Saturday include: Tour of the Benton Falls Dam to witness the fish lift and Alewife harvest up close.
Children’s Activities, Speakers, Educational Booths, and more. Activities take place at the Benton Town Office. Come be a part of this interesting “Rite of Spring” Running With The Alewives in Benton, Maine.
A Special Guest Speaker from Maine Rivers speaking about The Alewife Restoration Initiative.
An interactive childrens’ play: See How They Run, Find Out How Those Fish Get Up The River,
and other games.

Biodiversity Research Institute, Lower Sebasticook Conservation Initiative – Jennifer Irving
