Relax after work and explore your artistic side. Create an embroidered river scene with visiting artist Dina Jeannotte at Common Street Arts! Begin with white linen and sari silk ribbon in an embroidery hoop, then mark your design, thread your needle, and you will be ready to relax to the rhythm of the stitch! Delicious snacks and beverages provide and all materials included!
Dina Jeannotte has been in the grip of a fabric and thread obsession for at least 55 years, and has no desire to recover. Since retiring from her day job, she has been making both utilitarian and decorative fiber art like crazy, and loving (almost) every minute of it! Her intention is to love her own life so much that the joy spills out and seeps into the world, and that means making plenty of time for art, stitch, design, nature, love, and friendship. She is a member of the River Roads Artisan Gallery in Skowhegan, has taught Expressive Arts at Thomas College, and is active in her local chapter of the Pine Tree Quilt Guild.
